FOI students visit our company for work-based learning

FOI students visit Emil Frey Digital for work-based learning

If you want to understand how a company works, it’s probably best to see it for yourself. And that is exactly what a group of ten first-year FOI students did in mid-May as part of their Work-Based Learning (WBL) program.

They spent a half day with us at Emil Frey Digital, asking about different parts of our business. The idea behind WBL is to offer young people opportunities, early in their studies, to visit companies like ours and talk to professionals about things they learn in class.

They split into two groups to interview our employees. Marina Biro shared her experience of working in human resources, while Martina Golub answered questions about the tools we use for planning and optimizing business processes.

Next step for this group of students is to summarize their findings and present them to mentors and classmates in early June. We will be there to support them and provide feedback.

Our collaboration with FOI on the WBL program started in the last academic year, as another extension of our ongoing partnership with this influential and respectable Faculty, in which many of our employees were educated. We stay open to initiatives like this, supporting students in their first contacts with the IT industry. We look forward to seeing them grow into the future IT professionals!
